jeriendhal: (Red Vixen)

Okay, so my most popular series by far is The Red Vixen Adventures. A series which so far consists of Captive of the Red Vixen, Shadow of the Red Vixen, Shadow of Her Sins, and the side story I Fought the Claw & the Claw Won. All of them set in the same continuity with the same characters and about the same time period, focusing on the alien Foxen race. All which are more or less sci-fi romances, with the sex (aside from very brief passages in Captive and Sins) implied rather than explicit.

But I've also got Prisoners of War, which I tend to describe as "Ilsa, She-Wolf of the SS with Furries." It is, frankly, BDSM pr0n, though perhaps with a bit more plot than say your average Laura K. Hamilton novel. But since the nation of Gerwart is a major portion of the plot, and as of Sins it's also an acknowledged subculture on the Foxen homeworld. Not to mention after the RVA and FYS series, my top selling work. [1]

So should I just say to heck with it and make an official part of The Red Vixen Adventures, keep it separate so the original RVA lineup remains relatively PG-13, or start up a new line for explicit stories? It doesn't help that I've got at least two sequels to POW more or less outlined, one very explicit, the other a much more normal sci-fi First Contact story that ties in heavily with RVA.

[1] With about half the purchases from Amazon.de (their German subsidiary). I'm not sure I want to think about that too much...

My real answer is 'put it in an Adult Only branch' - so it's linked, but has warnings.

I'd also suggest making it part of an "adults only" division of RVA.
