AKiCiF: German Language Question
Jan. 8th, 2015 05:01 amThis is mostly directed at
ankewehner and
mjkj but if anyone else has suggestions I'd like to hear them.
I'm looking for a German translation of the phrase "Ambition Tales". Which for some reason when I run it through a couple of online translators, comes back as "Ambition Tales". O_o
Basic concept is a literary genre almost exclusively found in Gherwart, the Foxen German expy from my Red Vixen Adventures. It describes stories designed to help reinforce personal ambition for males [1], amounting to a cross between Horatio Alger stories and old Soviet style socialist realism propaganda along the lines of "A Boy and His Tractor", where a male sets an ambitious (but realistic!) goal for himself and struggles to reach it.
[1] Poor boys are almost always overshadowed by their sisters you see... ^_^
