HST is no Saint

I've been punching my brain, trying to do a decent Fear and Loathing pastiche to try and justify Hunter S. Thompson being admitted to In Nomine's version of Heaven, but it just isn't jelling. I think the majority opinion on the INML is correct. HST would hate it, and probably be much happier hanging about in Shal-Mari, writing scathing commentary on the state of the place, under Kobal's indulgent eye.

Of course the really eye-gouging idea is that Hunter gets to Heaven after all, and is admitted not because he met his Destiny, but because he was secretly a Soldier of Creation. Which might be an idea worthy of Laurence sporking himself to relieve the cognitive dissonance.

HST probably scared the Hell out of more people than any 1000 preachers ever have. Not to mention being the inspiration for the "this is your brain on drugs" ads.
