HST is no Saint
Feb. 23rd, 2005 04:34 pmI've been punching my brain, trying to do a decent Fear and Loathing pastiche to try and justify Hunter S. Thompson being admitted to In Nomine's version of Heaven, but it just isn't jelling. I think the majority opinion on the INML is correct. HST would hate it, and probably be much happier hanging about in Shal-Mari, writing scathing commentary on the state of the place, under Kobal's indulgent eye.
Of course the really eye-gouging idea is that Hunter gets to Heaven after all, and is admitted not because he met his Destiny, but because he was secretly a Soldier of Creation. Which might be an idea worthy of Laurence sporking himself to relieve the cognitive dissonance.
