So I make the mistake of Googling "The Voyage of the Mimi" a rather entertaining children's science serial from the mid-80's, set aboard a converted tuna trawler as it roamed the ocean tracking whales and Having Adventures while painlessly introducing some oceanic science to the pre-teen set.
Only to find that the kid playing C.T., grandson of the properly crusty Captain Granville [1], was Ben Affleck, he of overrated acting ability and star of many movies that I've done my best to avoid seeing.
