Review: Sims 2: Nightlife

jeriendhalYes I'm a Sims junkie. I love my little 3-D dollhouses, with their torture victims inhabitants, and their inhabitants stuff, and the oodles and oodles of downloadable fan content. And I'm also enough of a junkie that bought I the first supplement, Sims 2 University. University was a mild dissapointment. The additional Young Adult aging period was mostly an excuse to grind your sim into getting more skills, though it did bring some interesting new play options through the use of Influence, and the long awaited addition of cell phones.
Nightlife is better. For one thing, while there isn't much in the way of new outfits (though you can download enough of those, to be certain, the new furniture and decorations make up for that. Particularly, the disco lights and the lighting effects for the neon are pretty spectacular. That and the "Dating" and "Scope Out" options make finding a compatible mate much easier. I haven't had a chance to get one of my character sbitten b ya vampire, but I'm sure that's coming soon.
Oh, and the cars? Not that big of a deal, though it is nice not to have call a friggin' taxi everytime you want to go somewhere.
