Forty-two years ago today, mankind walked on the moon for the first time. Tomorrow, the Space Shuttle lands for the last time, after thirty years of service.

I look up at the Moon and wonder, when will we be going back, and who will that be?

For [livejournal.com profile] lilfluff 's prompt of "One of Tez's great-great-grandchildren seeks him out."

* * *

"You killed Great-Grandmother," he said.

"I did no such thing," Tez replied. "Swan died in bed at a ripe old age."

"Living like a penniless hermit! Living in fear because you hunted her!"

"I never hunted her," Tez corrected. "I told her that I would hunt her. Swan's paranoia did the rest quite nicely."

"For three hundred years she quavered in fear whenever she spoke your name!"

"Good," Tez hissed. "Swan enslaved her own mother to the Dragons. For five years, when I thought Maria would be dead before the age of forty. Believe me, Grandson, I was being merciful."
