lilfluff 's prompt of "One of Tez's great-great-grandchildren seeks him out."

"You killed Great-Grandmother," he said.
"I did no such thing," Tez replied. "Swan died in bed at a ripe old age."
"Living like a penniless hermit! Living in fear because you hunted her!"
"I never hunted her," Tez corrected. "I told her that I would hunt her. Swan's paranoia did the rest quite nicely."
"For three hundred years she quavered in fear whenever she spoke your name!"
"Good," Tez hissed. "Swan enslaved her own mother to the Dragons. For five years, when I thought Maria would be dead before the age of forty. Believe me, Grandson, I was being merciful."

Date: 2011-07-20 04:53 pm (UTC)Of course now I'm wondering, in the earlier stories there'd be comments along the lines of, "And Swan of whom we never spoke..." But if she has descendants are they split off from the rest of the family as well or did they ever get back together?
I would guess they didn't reconnect, except that the problem with, "We will never speak her name again," is that you'd better not mind people forgetting what the offense was.
Of course now I want to know about the great-grandson. :)
