Name ring a bell? No?
How about these names? "Adventureland!", "Pirate Island", "Impossible Mission", "Voodoo Castle"? Text adventures from the 80's. Limited text adventures, that made you explore entire worlds typing in just a verb and a noun at a time, never mind those fancy sentences that you get away with in Infocom games. They had damned hard, but sometimes clever puzzles, and I must have spent man-years playing them when a was kid, armed with my trusty Atari 800 and it's slow as sh*t tape drive.
Great fun. And it turns out he's still around, still programming, and even did some stuff for Everquest II. How cool is that?
