Because I know you're all hanging on by your teeth to see how I'm doing. ;p Anyway, positive news on both fronts. Home Depot's Customer Compliants Dept got back to me with a deal. They'll pay for upgraded flooring, up to $20 per case more expensive, splitting the difference if whatever we choose costs more than that. I thought it was a fair deal, so I agreed to it.

On the job front, I interviewed with a temp agency today. The woman seemed pleased ot find out about my editing background, and was going to try and set me up with an interview for Thursday or Friday with a publishing company, with the pay nearly equal to what I was making before. Go me.

Good luck. Finding jobs through temp agencies however requires you to take a good looooong look at what kind of charges you will be paying for their services. Be very careful and paranoid when working those channels my freind otherwise you could end up thinking you are making one thing while bringing home considerably less than you thought. In other words read and understand everything they want you to sign. Remember just because you are paranoid doesn't mean they are not out to get you.

Go you on both!!

Although the comment above about reading everything VERY carefully is always good advice, most temp agencies, at least in the legal field, charge the company the fees, not the temp worker. I hope that's the case here :)
