Fingers and toes crossed
Dec. 14th, 2006 12:17 pmThe bookstore job at Howard Community College turned out to be a no-go. Aside from the fact it would only 4 hours a day at $12 an hour (less than I'm geting from unemployment), there was a commitment to working overtime through 8:30 in the evenings for ten weks out of the year, which just isn't possible given Tracy works until 9 pm two nights out of each week.
On a more positive note, I'm waiting for a phone interview set up by my temp agency, for an administrative assistant job in Columbia that pays $12 to13 an hour 9 to 5, for a long term commitment. If the interviewer likes me that would take a lot of pressure off us.
