Talk about a nice present in the mail. Just a copy of Jon Blum "The Prisoner" spinoff manuscript that he's contracted for, to look over and provide commentary. I helped a little critiquing his last Doctor Who book, but that was a round-robin discussion at a mutual friends house. To get this thing just out of the blue is an incredible compliment.

I'll just grind my teeth gently. And he was likely going to do this anyway, but I think Marcus is going to kick some kid's puppy into traffic. (I imagine his Word attunement must've come through by now, giving him the ability to do that sort of thing in perfect Symphonic silence.)

Sorry to hear about your eminent death. [evil grin] If it's any consolation, Jon probably won't be writing all the books in the series, even though he was the one that went to the publisher with the idea.

Hmm, I really should ask him if it has to be vetted by Patrick M before it gets published too.

Technically, it's by Jon Blum and Rupert Booth, both of whom can be found making Dr Who fan vids on occasion over the last 10 years (including a fun crossover linked below).
The next PRISONER book is due this summer and will be written by Lance Parkin who wrote the excellent HUMAN NATURE Dr Who novel that you can read online at the BBC's website.
