The fact that former NYTimes best seller Diane Duane is reduced to self-publishing her books now, or that its sales are ranking an order of magnitude below A Miracle of Science

Nothing on Jon and Marc, it's just that DD is a bit more established in the publishing field.

Are you sure she's "reduced to" self-publishing, rather than choosing it in lieu of a traditional publisher for some reason other than financial desperation?

Okay, "reduced" was probably the wrong word to use. I think I'm just scratching my head at her using Lulu in the first place, given she's an author with an established track record. That and she's a sufficiently well known author that I'm suprised her sales ranking wasn't higher than it's showing currently. (says the guy who has sold 7 books total there, 2 to himself.)
