Summary: Originally titled "The Wizard of Mars", four astronauts on a mapping mission accidentally crash on Mars after getting caught in a space storm. One is named Dorothy and there is a yellow brick road and a giant talking head at the end, but you can forget about seeing any Wicked Witches, Flying Monkeys, Munchkins, or in fact anything interesting at all.

Review: This movie is... incompetent, is the best word I think. Not quite at Ed Wood levels of imcompetence, but it has that same feel of ambition completely outstripping the director's ability and the producer's budget. For thing, the Wizard of Oz's references are pretty weak. Dorothy in this one is a whiny GURL who doesn't do much. Then again that goes for the rest of the crew, aside from the Comic Relief who is the only one in the group to be given emotional range at all.

As was pointed out on other review sites, the cinematography is hardly worth the name. There are no transistions between scenes. The actors start on one set and end up in the next, with no idea of how they got between them presented. Hell, the camera barely moves, except towards the very end during the obligatory Ancient City Collapses bit when the director throws caution to the wind and actually does some hand held POV camerawork.

About the only thing interesting that does happen is at the very end, in which the audience discovers that John Carradine will indeed appear in anything so long as he's paid Guild minimum.
