If you squint, it looks like a book.

So I made the mistake of mentioning to my mom that I have a Lulu account. As she already had a book from my niece kairyuu of her photographs, I agreed to print copies for her, which arrived yesterday. The Dragon's Companion, my collection of Teal & Philosopher stories, looks very... um... basic. It's magazine or RPG supplement sized, with lots of wide text, blank space and a B&W piece of cover art courtesy of Cheeko.

But for private amusement I also created a book by mashing together The Grace of God and Spin Recovery (note to chaypeta: this isn't availible for purchase, it's just something I did as an experiment in typesetting). It turned out fairly well. I goofed on the page count so the there is no cover page and the chapter pages are opposite where I wanted, but it almost looks like a real book.

And I'm not going to be able fix it at all, because I lost the file I used to put the stories together and I don't want to do that much work again to put it back together. :( But damn it looks pretty nice.

Sorry. In my dreams I'll be able to convince Peta to allow me to hawk it on the TErinu website and split the profits with her, but I don't really think that's going to happen.
