Moonshadowed's Big Adventure, part one

From an e-mail moonshadowed sent me a half hour ago.

our flight was delayed leaving dulles by almost 2 hrs, so we were correspondingly late arriving in Beijing. Then to top it off, once we finally got here, the guide needed us to wait because another family was due in supposedly 1/2hr after us. 1.5 hrs later , she sent us to the hotel....minus the other family. we don't know if they changed flights or what. (not dissing the guide it made sense to wait for the other family and she had no call to let her know if they changed flights)

So she and her mom made it, safe and sound, if a bit later than she intended.
