In less awesome news, I was driving along Charles St. to work this morning and I passed what looked like a movie production. There was a makeup and a canteen trailer parked in front of the Washington Mounument, a load of classic cars parked along the street and lots of extras standing around in 1930's vintage suits and dresses. I wonder what the name of the film is?

It's a Renee Zellweger flick, called My One And Only. We get a fair number of films that come through Mount Vernon -- there was an Alan Rickman thing a while back, and the guys from "The Wire" did some sidewalk shots right in front of my house at 0530 one morning.

Ahh, much becomes clear. They might be doing some pickup shots today. I saw one fellow working on the engine of a car I'd seen yesterday out on the street this morning.
