jeriendhalWork has finally slowed down a bit, so I managed to slip in a few hundred words. The count is slightly misleading, since a few paragraphs are what I managed to do Friday plus some re-editing of lines I took from the first draft.

Jonathan reached over and plucked ripe red fruit from a branch and tossed it to her.
She caught it automatically. “I can’t eat this!”
“Why not?”
“It’s not mine!”
“It’s not mine either, but I doubt Uncle will get upset. He doesn’t care for apples either, unless they’re in a pie.”
