Train Trip 2008
Nov. 11th, 2008 07:40 pmSo as is our tradition,
moonshadowed and I took Thomas, plus Georgia and our friend
badasher to take the Western Maryland Scenic Railway from Cumberland to Frostburg. Georgia and Tom both had a grand old time, as Tracy records in her journal.
How grand a time was it? So grand that...
Okay, actually it was an Franklin Delano Roosevelt impersonator coming along as part of a celebration of Cumberland's semi-notable participation in WWII. There was also a display WWII army encampments of various nationalities (USA, Russian and German) and lots of LARPers in uniform. *

* Though the woman in the German camo fatigues with the SS death's head emblem pinned to her cap was seriously tacky.
