jeriendhalOkay, repeat after me: Obama is not the Messiah, Superman, George Bailey, Neo, The Man With No Name, Aral, Miles or Cordelia Vorkosigan, Spock, Kirk or Picard, the Green Lantern (any of them), Superfly, Shaft, John McClane [1], WALL E, either of the Mythbusters or the Goddamn Batman.
He's going to screw up, annoy his supporters, get thwarted by Congress, face international crisises without an easy solution, still be faced with a tanking economy, have underlings that do stupid things that stain his presidency, and we're not likely to see a complete switchover to clean energy sources, a one payer national healthcare system or an invigorated space program anytime soon.
Neverless, compared to who we had the past eight years, I expect he's going to be a vast improvement.
