I haven't thrown an "elaborate party" for my birthday in years; I usually do something more low-key with the family. This year I had a big surprise party thrown for me, but that's not normal.
this past BD was the 50 so a party was in order - if Possible I throw wild parties - because I Survived Another Trip Around The Sun - YES!
I've earned every wrinkle and gray hair and find that I am much happier dealing with life from that point of view rather than "EEEEK I'm ...." hhehehehehehe

The trick is to lie about your age. ADD 10 years. Then people say, "Wow, you look FABULOUS!"
Either that, or they walk away confused at the complex math that is now cranking through their heads...Okay, they were two years ahead of me in college..or was it five years...?
