Well, I'm hoping to get us down there for a weekend or something...

Yes and No averages to a Maybe. =)
We always have to fly kites on the beach after dark with glowsticks. My favorite kite for that these days is one that looks like a fish skeleton.

We literally do live on the beach; our plot of land is connected to the sea. Mum spends an enourmous amount of effort each year transporting sand to build a mini-beach to cover the grass closest to the water, only to have it blow away during winter.

Also, you forgot a simple "swim" option, not to mention frisbee :D

you should've had a river/lake option -- then it woulda been a resounding yes, yes, yes

beach is a long drive for us, river and lake are a very short hop skip and jump.

On the other hand, if people come visit our lake, maybe we'll visit their beach.......

I like the beach - really - but having lupus is not conducive to being on the beach much - except under an umbrella and covered from top of head to bottom of feet in level 100 sunscreen

I used to love to go as a kid

That bright ball of flame in the sky! It burns, it burns!

Must go inside where it is safe, close all the blinds and turn on the a/c. Ahhh. so dark, so cool.

Keep telling myself that winter will come again, winter will come again.....

The water's too cold to get into 364 days of the year here, but we have wonderful walking beaches. So that's what I do, generally at any time of the year.
