State of the Royce
Jun. 21st, 2009 09:14 amWriting: Been plugging along at "Arc" during my breaks at work. I have a fair idea of where it's going, but the climax is a little hazy still. White D6's fate is still up for grabs, poor dear. :)
Health: Spoke to my doctor Thursday finally about my heart tests. Overall the actual heart rate (the amount of blood oxygen its pumping into my system) is about 50% of what he'd like it to be. However, since my cholesterol and calcium tests turned up negative, and I'm not experiencing pains in my chest anymore, he's letting me off without any medications. He did note that I'm stressed out though (big surprise there). Recommendations: Regular exercise for the heart and perhaps counseling for the stress. Well, I can exercise at least. :/
Family Health: My brother-in-law, after considering just doing radiation, opted for the whole chemo/radiation route. It'll shrink the tumor but not kill it entirely, according to the doctors. I'm going to have to be sure to go down and visit my sister and him this summer. God only knows how much time he has, and he deserves to see Georgia again while he can still enjoy her company.
Meanwhile, Mom went into the doctor Tuesday to have a biopsy taken from her lung, since she's been having some long term breathing problems. Unfortuntaely the procedure partially collapsed the lung, and it still hasn't re-inflated. My other sister is staying with her so she's not alone until she's back to normal.
Did I mention the doctor said I'm stressed?
