Five Good things
Jun. 25th, 2009 07:21 pmJust an antidote to the constant whinging I've been doing the past couple of weeks.
1. Digging out from our debt.
The massive tax rebate we got as a side effect of adopting Georgia has gone a long way towards stabilizing our finances. We killed a massive amount of credit card debt, and as a result have an extra $200 a month to play with. Not an insignifigant amount for us.
2. My shoulders don't hurt.
I've been in constant pain since last Saturday after straining my shoulders trying to rest my posture into something resembling more of like a normal human and not the Hunchback of Notre Dame. Oddly enough, everything realigned during my first exercise session using the EA exercise program we bought for the Wii
3. I'm going to Otakon
Related in no small part to the getting out of debt thing. :)
4. Obama is President
Yeah, that's kind of a meta-thing, and I've severely disappointed with the Administration's wimping out on recent GLBT issues and maintaining old Bush secrecy policies, but could you imagine what John McCain would have done during the recent Iran election mess?
5. Georgia is a joy:
She drives me nuts sometimes with her constantly getting into everything, but she's healthy and normal and loves us very much.
