While the con is stil going on today, I'm probably not going to go back to it. There arent any panels of videos I'm particularly hot to see(beyond the opening ceremony vid, and I can go to [livejournal.com profile] jvowles's house for that), I don't have any money for shopping left and all the walking around had left me exausted. I'll do a proper ater action report later, for now here's some random pics.

GET READY!

Photobucket

First, some pictures from while I was in line.

Photobucket

Me. As you can see, I was the creepy guy with the camera.

Photobucket

A group of Hetalia cosplyers. Unfortunately I never found them again ot do a proper group shot.

Photobucket

PokeV!

Photobucket

Everyone's favorite whiny Sith

Next, I finally got inside the building

Photobucket

I believe she was coplaying a Warhammer 40k character.

Photobucket

Santa Claus with Samus (from Metroid Prime) in his lap (the woman's real name apparently was Samantha, so she tended to get VERY confused when random people called out to her for photos)

Photobucket

Rorshach and a pair of 300 cosplayers. There's a set of poster boys for confused sexuality...

Photobucket

Zenigata finally gets his man!

If I'd thought about it, I would asked for a follow up pic with Lupin out of the shot and Zenigata handcuffed to the railing....

Photobucket

"YOU PROMISED ME PRETTY, SIMON!"

Photobucket

I was trying to take a picture of Captain Falcon there, srsly... ;p

Photobucket

Once again, the RED team fails to notice the Spy in their midst.

Photobucket

Tigress and a clever way of cosplaying Crane. I was getting seriously ticked off at myself, because I would manage to take a photo of them about a half-second after they dropped their "action" poses about five times in a row.

Photobucket

Beautiful Jack Skellington outfit. You can't see it in the pic, but he's got LED's blinking on the collar of his coat.

Photobucket

Mewtoo and um... someone.

Photobucket

Terrific Avatar cosplay group.

Photobucket

WoW dryad. No, I don't how he (it's a guy) managed to walk around in that rig.

Photobucket

Harlie goes formal one evening with a friend.

Photobucket

This one should make [livejournal.com profile] moonshadowed laugh.

Photobucket

Kamen Rider.

Photobucket

Snake and a lady with a massive weapons rack a large caliber railgun.

Photobucket

Zelda and Sheik

Photobucket

Photobucket

Remarkably for a con, this was the only stormtrooper there.

Photobucket

I have no idea who this guy is supposed to be.

Photobucket

Doctor Venture and the moth guys. Alas, the boys didn't get it when I asked them to start humming "Mars, Bringer of War."

Photobucket

Mecha suit from something or other.

DAY TWO

Photobucket

Nice Appa costume and the lady who was playing Kitara again a girl cosplaying Sokka.

Photobucket

Two World of Warcrakers

Photobucket

Very nice Okami costume (which I really have to get for the Wii once I scrape some cash together)

Photobucket

Spy vs.... Rorshach?

Photobucket

Kingdom Hearts Cosplay. Walking around Baltimore in those coats could NOT be fun.

Photobucket

BIG O! (also the one item you were allowed to take a picture of in the Artists Alley) This thing was over eight feet tal and made of solid resin. Starting bid was $9,500.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Red XIII

Photobucket

Professional looking Halo armor.

Photobucket

A pair o' Fetts

Photobucket

No idea what show this is from.

Photobucket

More Team Fortress cosplayers

Photobucket

The Baroness! Cobra Commander was next to her out of shot, but he was partially out of costume.

Photobucket

"Gender" Bender

Photobucket

Super Deformed Inyuasha

Photobucket

Again, I have no idea...

Photobucket

People were dying of the Cyute around these two.

Photobucket

Portal cosplayers

Photobucket

Close up of a Chell and her plushie turret. I didn't know you could make a plushie turret.

Photobucket

Random Resistance fighter, Alyx Vance, and a scientist with a Headcrab.

Photobucket

Pyramid Head from the Silent Hill games

Photobucket

Yes, that Starscream was wore by the fellow crouching down there. No, I don't how he could possibly move.

Photobucket

More unidentified mecha costuming.

Photobucket

This is why you shouldn't let cosplayers play Team Fortress LARPs near the Inner Harbor...

With Il Porco Rosso.

Rorshach and a pair of 300 cosplayers. There's a set of poster boys for confused sexuality...

Hrrm. Possibly homosexual. Must investigate further.

I was getting seriously ticked off at myself, becuase I would manage to take a photo of them about a half-second after they dropped their "action" poses about five times in a row.

That happens all the time when I'm photographing Richard (and I should think you'd be getting that from T&G), so I'm used to taking up to ten pictures for every one I post. Yet another reason to be glad for digital photography.

Spy vs.... Rorshach?

Is that the same guy from your previous Rorschach picture? If so, he gets points for changing masks to have a different pattern.

Walking around Baltimore in those coats could NOT be fun.

I think it was being out in the sun all day at the Renaissance Festival one year that convinced me how important a factor "comfort" was in costuming.

Super Deformed Inyuasha

Those masks always creep me out.

Portal cosplayers

I can't help noticing that none of them has cake.

More unidentified mecha costuming.

Aha! One I can help you with! That one is from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (Wiki, TVtropes). "Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is what happens when you ask Studio Gainax to create a Saturday Morning Cartoon."

Oh well. If I ever do Rorschach, I'll have several different "faces" and change them periodically.

And now I'm going to have to ind TTGL on DVD ASAP.

I read only two sentences about TTGL. One of them was "Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is what happens when you ask Studio Gainax to create a Saturday Morning Cartoon", the other I won't repeat because it contains spoilers (though you've probably seen it if you clicked on either link I gave you). Anyway, it took only those two sentences (and really, either one would have been sufficient) to make me decide I had to see it.

Oh, BTW, I mentioned this to moonshadowed already, but I loved your book. Particularly enjoyed the way you handled Tez's extremely long life and the way it's shaped his character ("I'll just outlive you") – and the literate Ogre named Arthur. Just in general, you have a gift for characterization (and interaction).

That would be Jack Ryan, AKA The Creeper.

Nice set of pics!

Okay, the sad thing is I'm now playing fill in the blanks.

The Kamen Rider is "Kamen Rider Kabuto" just to make it a bit more specific.

The 40k cosplayer was doing one of the Sisters of Battle, pretty much the only Imperial faction with female members.

The "Mecha suit from something or other." is GaoGaiGar

The red samurai-like cosplayer is Yoroiden Samurai Troopers, or in the states "Ronin Warriors"

And the ones below the SD Inuyasha look to be Pokemon costumes.

I'm assuming wheels in the rear hooves. That would help.

This one should make moonshadowed laugh.

Considering the way people like to cruelly kill off their Sims characters in a variety of ways, I'm not sure if that was the safest costume choice.

Pretty sure that's the Final Fantasy version of Ifrit.

It's important to set up a dispenser at any forward base. Kudos to the BLU team. Looks like Sniper's been hitting the Violet Crumbles pretty hard though ;)

The Sims made me LOL. The Zelda/Sheik ones were niiiice. I don't follow much anime (practically nothing) but these photos make me want to go just to look at the cosplayers and costumes.

Are you sure he wasn't co-playing this: http://www.onemanga.com/Bleach/296/04-05/ ?

Of course, if Kubo Tite is channeling WoW for his character designs that would be quite funny. Also, if that guy is cosplaying Neliel that would be freaking hilarious. XD She also has green hair as well, as this really tiny fanservicy book cover scan shows: http://www.bleach7.com/media/images/covers/v34.gif

The "gender-Bender" appears to be receiving a proposition from Vaan of Final Fantasy 12.

Also, image 38 looks like a bad cosplay attempt of Gilgamesh from FFV

http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/File:FFV-Gilgamesh.gif

Before he got like, four more arms and an indeterminate amount of swords...
