"I can't believe you're taking her side!" Sarah puffed, leaning down and trying to catch her breath in the darkness of the alleyway
"AMI isn't doing anything wrong from her perspective," Josh said. "She's just following her programming to it's logical conclusion."
"Logical conclision? She's trying to kill us!"
"Well, not us. Her primary directive is to keep me safe. It's just you she's trying to kill."
"Oh, that makes me feel so much better," she said with heavy sarcasm. She stood back up. "Well, we managed to disable one of her 'shells, that's something. That just leaves her with her primary shell, your car's system and the house computer."
"Um, no," Josh said slowly, a horrible realizing creeping up on him. "I'm a city manager remember. She's got all my security codes now."
Sarah stared at him. "How much does she have access to now?"
Josh swallowed. "Power, sewage, emergency response, police monitors... Everything."
