Another sign of my age.
Aug. 1st, 2009 07:13 pmRiding down the DC Metro Red Line two weeks ago, I saw only one piece of Cool "Disco" Dan graffiti.
Those who have ridden that line will understand, those who do not, there's no point in explaining...

Date: 2009-08-02 02:58 pm (UTC)Back in the dim mists of time I would take the Red Line to work. One of the storage tanks on near the Fort Totten station was being refurbished. It received a beautiful new white paint job in the process.
CDD wasted no time in tagging the tank. I saw his well known signature and variants adorning the tank in just a few days.
All the tags were on the left side of a pipe running up the tank. the tallest one was about 30 feet up, The only handhold was the pipe; all else was vertical tank.
If you're climbing a pipe to spray paint your "art-work", you would not spray using your "non-writing hand"...not if you are a serious artist like CDD. So since the writing was onn the left, he was left-handed.
And if you can shimmy up 30 feet of pipe on a sheer tank face with enough control to sign your conquest 5 times alog the way, you could be described as athletic.
Therefore CDD is left-handed and athletic.
BOW DOWN, HUMANS, BEFORE MY BOUNDLESS THINKING SKILZ!!!
Oh, also he probably did not work at a traditional job.
