Rumor has it he's readying a remake of the classic Beatles film, Yellow Submarine, done in his signature "Motion Capture with Creepy Uncanny Valley CGI Overlays" style, ala The Polar Express and Beowulf.
Even if it does look gorgeous, and I'm guessing it won't, it's so utterly unecessary as to defy comprehension. Yellow Submarine was a product of a particular time period, its bizarre and trippy animation style just won't work these days and doing it in any other manner will just bring up unfavorable comparisons to the original. Honestly, he'd be better off remaking the Bee Gee's version of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
On a more enjoyable note, here's some animation done for the beginning of a Yellow Submarine ride that apparently opened in a theme park based in Berlin and Tokyo back in 2000.
