Turns out that I didn't have the flu. Nope, I've got tonsillitis. Had chicken pox, German measles, appendicitis, but I managed to avoid this until now. Unfortunately I don't get a quick hospital stay and unlimited ice cream, so I have to settle for gargling Lidocain (NASTY!) and swallowing massive amounts of penicillin derivative.

I'm told that many places no longer offer the ice cream, and that even if they do it's just a cruelty as you won't be able to enjoy it.

Much better, though the antibiotics are effecting my systems in others ways (ahem).
