The Day of Shovelling

1. Dug out front walk for the third and final time.

2. Dug out path to my car.

3. Dug out my car. [1]

4. Dug path to moonshadowed's car. Gave her the damned shovel.

5. Completed last 1/4 of shoveling her car out after she pleaded exhaustion.

6. While shoveling out her car, noted that for the first time in history, the snowplow managed to clear our parking lot without re-burying my car.

7. Dug path from our back porch to our trash cans.

8. Put shovel down, risked life and limb to get to the grocery store to buy baking soda

9. Baked sugar molasses cookies. Mmmmm.... [2]

10. Started laundry.

Aaaaand tomorrow I go to work. If I'm very lucky most of the doctors' offices will still be closed and no one will call us.

[1] This involved much poking at my minivan's roof with a broom, since trying to drive with about 20 cubic feet worth of snow on top would have A) blown my gas mileage to hell and B) Probably killed the poor sod behind me from either the 55 mph whiteout or flying debris.

poor boy -

we conscripted the young dudes next door to shovel out in front of our garage.

however, Mr did the front walk and the back walk to the garage - took a while but he did it. (and is paying for it now too)
