Personal update.
Mar. 26th, 2010 04:05 amBeen a while since I posted anything about my actual life, as opposed to story fragments, so here goes.
Sunday I got the news from Mom about my Uncle Jimmy dying down in FL. This wasn't unexpected, he'd been declining for years and had been in the hospital since before Christmas, still it was a blow to my Aunt Delores. Mom advised me not to lose a day's pay and go to work instead of the funeral, which I was relieved about but still felt like a shit for having to do.
Tuesday was my and Georgia's birthday. She'll get her prezzie Sunday at her party,
moonshadowed got my Endless Ocean: Blue World for the Wii. It's a scuba diving simulator with some gorgeous fish and scenery. I'll have t opost aproper review later though.
Thursday was a lot of running around in the evening. Tracy watched Georgia while I ran Tom over to the Hair Cuttery to neaten him up before his school pictures Friday. Then I got into my suit and headed over to Uncle Jimmy's evening viewing. I'm glad I thought to do it, since when I got there the American Legion was doing a little ceremony. I only ended up staying for a half hour, since right after that there was going to an even longer Masonic ceremony and I had to get home and sleep.
Today I woke up too early. Went to bed at 9:30 and ended up waking up at 2:30 am to toss and turn until I gave up, which I've been doing a lot lately. Wish I knew why. On the plus side I did wake up to the news that I'd made another sale on Unexpected Diversions, so yays there at least.
Other than that we've got to clean the house from it's default cluttered state Saturday and get our first package from Angel Foods, then Sunday it'll be Georgia's Build-a-Bear party in Columbia Mall and pizza for the guests at home afterward.
Life goes on.
