Fic: Altered Trajectory (cont)
Apr. 2nd, 2010 05:57 pmFinally back to work on this after a bit of a hiatus.
“Why is it that everywhere we go people keep pointing guns at us?” Hazel asked.
“They’re not at theoment, technically,” Rufus replied. They were standing on the hanger deck of the Galapagos cruiser by the White Knight, a squad of Galapagos security troopers in front of them, holding rifles with their muzzles pointed downward politely. After Rufus had identified themselves, their fighter had been hauled aboard via tractor beam and they had been advised over their radio to get out and wait. As the alternative had been getting blown into very tiny particles, it had seemed the prudent thing to do.
“Forgive me for not getting hung up on the details.”
A hatch on the far side of the hanger bay cycled open and a female galapagos, presumably Admiral Gisko, stepped through and vectored towards them. She dressed in a tunic with a relatively restrained amount of gold braid and had a seriously annoyed looked on her face. “Who are you and how did you obtain the contact codes belonging to Narod Drisden?” she demanded.
“Lord Ru Ofanius Brushtail, at your service, Admiral,” he greeted, assaying a bow. “My companion is Lt. Haz Elin Switfoot, honourably retired. As for how we obtained the codes, I fear I must first report that your unfortunate Mr. Drisden was vilely murdered.”
Gisko’s expression, which hadn’t exactly been friendly to start with, grew notably colder. “Explain.”

...lots to explain though...
I hope they can convince her (maybe they will have to resort to knowing the GM and General Gisko from their first visit...)

PS: typo: second paragraph: "theoment" should read "the moment" I guess...
