Tom used to have a toy he absolutely loved, the Miele toy washing machine. Unfortunately it got played with a bit too hard and broke, and they apparently only make it in England. Would anyone on my friendslist be willing to locate one for me and ship it to us, for suitable compensation? This is one of those 'can't live without' toys, especially since we've been wanting to use as a motivator for his potty training (especially critical since he's developmentally delayed).

Thanks in advance.

Does it have to be that brand? I can look around a bit when I get back to Glasgow, but I haven't checked out where all the good toy stores are so might not find anything. Otherwise I found some psychodelically coloured ones on amazon.co.uk easily enough.

After some more digging, the amazon.co.uk one is also out of stock, but says "Order now and we'll deliver when available. We'll e-mail you with an estimated delivery date as soon as we have more information" (here, and sorry for bad html-ness: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Theo-Klein-Softtronic-Washing-Machine/dp/B0002H7TV4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=toys&qid=1271043004&sr=8-1). If you'd like to order it to my Glasgow address I could ship it on to you, no problem.

Thanks dear. I think I might wait until it becomes actively available. No telling when that is at this point. :(

A seller at amazon.de still has three in stock at the moment. Would be 40 euros, including shipping to me, and no idea how much shipping it to you would cost.

Er, link: http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B0002H7TV4/

Okay, the price looks right. I'll see about paypal'ing you the money to pruchase it, then compenstate you for the shipping when the time comes.

Thank you!

I've got enough spare in my bank account and just went ahead and ordered it. Let's go with only one Paypal transfer when I know exactly what the shipping will be; it should save a bit on fees.

Bless you, bless you! :) Thomas really likes that particular toy, and it was the only one I found that could use real water (which I know he'd try and put in it regardless if the toy was intended to be used that way or not... ) hehehehe

I had to work last night and during "breaks" poked around on ilne. A search for this specific toy led me to eBay where I had a happy half hour being distracted by all KINDS of wonderful working toys of all brands that reproduce adult life exquisitely. ranges, washers, dryers, ovens, micros......who knew??? toys sure have changed since the fisher price farm, sigh...

Ah, the FP farm. Click, MOO. Click, MOO. Click, MOO. For hours and hours and hours of fun...until Dad started screaming. The doorbell on the FP house was fun too.
