A Good Day

1) I took the day off. Even though I was using one of my very limited leave days it was worth it because:
2) I took Georgia over to Waterloo, the elementary school Tom went to when he was two, after we were given his initial diagnosis of learning delay. We're trying to get her in the same peer program Tom was in, from the opposite side. He went because the idea was that he spent a lot of face time interacting with "normal" children, learning to model their behaviors. In Georgia's case, she'll be learning to interact with other children with autism and other disabilities besides Tom. That and it never hurts to start pre-school.
Georgia being Georgia, she charmed the snot out of the teachers there. I think she's a shoe-in.
3) Three, my tax preparing finally caught up with me and emailed the paperwork to do our (late) electronic tax filing. Thanks to the remainder of our federal adoption tax credit, we're getting nearly $8k back, which will go a long way towards killing our remaining debt and generally give us a better buffer against unexpected expenses. I printed it out and ran over to Tracy's work to have her sign it after dropping Georgia back at daycare, then ran it over to the tax guy's house. Hopefully it'll show up in our checking account soon.
Now to relax.
