Life, the Non-Writing Bits
Oct. 10th, 2010 07:22 pmWork: Still sucks.
Family: Tom came down with a fever Thursday while at school, so Tracy picked him up early and they napped. His fever spiked at 102 that day, but only came up to 99 the next morning. Tracy kept him home Friday and by the end of the day his fever was gone. We all ended up visiting Grandma Day this afternoon and he was just fine. Mom was pretty cheerful, the weather finally growing cool enough that she could go out in the middle of the day without setting either her Rosella or asthma, so she was able to go to church for the first time in weeks.
House: With cooling weather we're finally ant free. Unfortunately our next door neighbor spotted termites crawling out from our front garden bed and crawling up her wall. I ended up yanking up the logs that hold up our front garden beds, which were rotted through, and hauling them to the dump. I'm going to lay down more sod to make a sort of sloping hillside for now, then once we've saved up a bit we can buy bricks to rebuild the beds properly next spring.
