Good: Maryland is not going to get hit by 12+ inches of snow.

Bad: Apparently we are going to get hit by 1/4 to 1/2 inch of freezing rain. Ohcrapohcrapohcrap! Goodbye power tomorrow. :(

Random: Given it's everywhere but the United States worldwide popularity, why hasn't anyone ever made a cricket simulator?

You really think there would be a market for simulating a small, dark insect which makes a lot of noise?

Yes, mostly because the shitty temp agency I work for resets my sick leave at the beginning of each year, apparently on the assumption that good attendance is best rewarded by denying employees pay if they get sick or have to stay home from January to February.

Fortunately, the ice warning has been downgraded to perhaps 1 to 2/10s of an inch, just like this morning, so it shouldn't be that bad.

Glad. Freezing rain does not sound very pleasant. Is that the sort that ends up with power lines being brought down by massive icycles?

Less "icicles" and more "sheath of ice that weighs half a ton". Icicles form when the ice melts, drips a bit and refreezes again. Bad enough either way.
