GURPS 4th Ed. comes out in August.

It WILL be out in time for release at GenCon.

Which starts August 19th.

Today is August 4th.

That's fifteen days.

Steve Jackson said the copies of Deluxe 4th ed. will ship before GenCon.

WE WANTS IT NOW, PRECIOUS!!!

More seriously, I probably will be using 4th Lite a lot, if only because I preordered the Deluxe 4th ed. and I'd rather not wear out those lovely leather covers. :)

Update: Double-checked the listings for everything. The regular print of the Characters and Campaigns books are listed as "At the Printer", while Deluxe is still listed as "In Production". Of course it's entirely possible that Deluxe will go to press after the bigger run of the other books is finished, since it has features like the buckram endpages and the autograph page to insert.

I'm just hoping to see it soon, because Steve states in Deluxe's listing that it will ship as soon as it is printed, so that people who ordered it will be the first to see 4th Edition in all it's glory.

14 days to GenCon.

I probably should have ordered it to ship overnight...

Sorry. :) There aren't that many things I have fangasms over, but considering how effing long I've been collecting GURPS books I'm really going nuts over this. Besides, it's better than thinking: "GURPS Vorkosigan is going to be out in January. No really this time..."
