Nan lives about hundred years in the future of Peta's (currently defunct) webcomic Terinu, specifically in my story The Summer Intern. The Vulpine in the comic are divided into three castes, Farmer Noble (who own all the land), Commoners (who don't, but can make money in other ways) and the Military (which allows some breathing space to permit Commoners to can gain influence to offset Nobles and perhaps marry up.) Noble women tend towards dresses with split skirts while commoners favor culottes and blouses with vests.
