I *do* believe in miracles.
Aug. 31st, 2004 01:03 pmOr at least in the miracle of an old coot who's too stubborn to give up yet.
Yesterday my mother called me at work, to inform me that my father (who has too many health problems to list here) started coughing and running a fever in the early morning, so she took him to the hospital. Worrisome enough. When I got home she called me again, to let me know that Dad had bronchitis, and it didn't look treatable. After 83 yers, I knew what that probably meant, and Mom let me know specifically that didn't want to be resusitated.
So at lunch today I come to visit him, heart in my throat, and find out that the doctors intended to release him and maybe get some physical therapy lined up so he doesn't need a walker to get around the house. Surprised the hell out of his doctors, not to mention my mom when she came to be with him.
w00t!
Criminy, that was a bit of a rollercoaster though... :)
