I think I'm very cautiously getting back into my writing groove this week. I've finally cracked the 25k word mark on Shadow of the Red Vixen as our heroes take shelter from pirates in a ship's petting zoo.[1] I Fought the Claw is proceeding along as well, though I'm wavering a bit on how much of a dick to make the protagonist. He's definitely got horndog tendencies, but I don't want him to crossover into Unlikable Protagonist territory. Need to give him enouigh heroics to balance the jerkness, but still make him deserving of the fate the Red Vixen has in store for him.

Also, while Shadow isn't quite turning into "The Bodyguard! With Lesbian Furries" plot that I'd originally invisioned (both protagonists turned out to a bit too broken for that to work), hopeful the lack of outright romance will be made up by the bond they do envtually forge.
