Just picked up the first book of the "Planetes" manga last night, written by Makoto Yukimura and published in the USA by Tokyopop.

I'd recommend it to anyone interested in science fiction, whether or not they care for manga or comincs. It concerns a three person crew of what amounts to a space going garbage truck ship, removing debris from Earth orbit that threaten spacecraft and satellites while pursuing their own greater dreams. The artwork is evocative, with realistic looking space vehicles, and the 'action' such as it is more often than not surrounds the mundanity of life. Everything from one of the crew looking for
a trinket his late wife was carrying when their shuttle was destroyed, to another of the crew desperately looking for a place to indulge in a nic-fit while they're getting repairs on Luna.

It's actually a good read for RPG campaigns as well, at least ones that concern themselves with realistic depictions of space flight and life in low-gravity.
