A little filler scene set in Spin Recovery

Crazy People )

Today I managed to pass page 100 in this story, which makes it about 16 pages longer than The Grace of God, the story that originally inspired it.

Ye, gods. If only I could write this much for something I could actually sell.

In Which Rufus Takes a Stand and Pays a Price )

I've learned something. I think the Vulpine, or at least Rufus, are incapable of engaging in a no-holds barred screaming match of an argument. They're just too damned genteel to indulge in that sort of behavior. So what they do instead is just get snippy with each other until someone starts bleeding.

In Which Harsh Words are Exchanged )

I'm not satisfied with the way this whole chapter turned out. As always with me there's too much angst and not enough genuine emotion (or plot for that matter) going on. It didn't help that this was written over a period of about three weeks and is extremely choppy as a result.

In Which Rufus Answers Awkward Questions. )

The dinner party is still going to limp along, but at least I got this particular scene finished.

In which Rufus fails his Influence Person roll )

PG. Now I'm going ot have to figure out what Vulpine uniforms look like. Time to bug Peta again, I suspect.

In Which Rufus Makes Plans For a Dinner Party. )

Notes: This scene is shorter than I'd intended, but it gets the point across. I may expand it later if I can figure out how.
