Summary: So, the Invid War is over, and Earth can finally live in peace.

Right, I didn't believe it either...

Real Summary: Harmony Gold's big sloppy kiss to all the die hard Robotech fans, R:SC revisits the Battle of Reflex Point mostly from the POV of the Shadow Tech equipped second invasion fleet. After that is cleaned up and the Invid take off, we encounter the real threat, the mysterious race that gave the Robotech Expeditionary Force that wonderful technology, which promptly bites them in the ass.

Review: Short Version, if you've ever screamed at the TV screen in the mid-80's for Lynn Minmei to STOP SINGING ALREADY, thought a geek in glasses was the greatest fighter pilot ever, or wanted to strangle Scott Bernard for being an ass, this is for you. Everyone else will likely be lost.

The main problem being is that not only do you have to be famliar with the original series to get most of the references, you also have to remember the VERY short-lived "Sentinels" sequel that HG tried to produce, which was supplemented by the comic series that covered the ground the series never got to.

But GOD does it look pretty. The space battles (and there are a LOT of space battles) look pretty, and the CG enhanced cel animation is as clean as you could ever want. The story is bad either, with the caveats noted.

I ROFLed when the bad guys called the REF 'Protoculture Addicts' (spoilers) )
