Vacation - Day Four
Aug. 25th, 2011 09:22 amStarted off heading to Colonial Williamsburg. Upon arrival we found the parking lot was full so we just zipped over to Busch Gardens again much to the kids' satisfaction. Once there we hit the Roman Rapids to get nicely soaked and cool for the rest of the day.
Next we got lost trying to make our way to the Mach Tower, so we paused at the Europe through the Air ride, which was a nice bit of fun. The Mach Tower was being repaired when we got there, but was working again after a few minutes. Tracy went with Thomas this time and was nicely scare out of her wits. It's a genuinely scary ride.
Then Tracy Thomas cooled their heels outside while I took Georgia intoCastle Accursed Dark Kastle Darkcurse Curse of DarkKastle. This proved to be a mistake, since the three-d pseudo-Worgen guy proved too scary for the poor girl. We settled her down after the ride with some cuddles and a jawbreaker-onna-stick (the latter also having the remarkable effect of quieting down her normally endless chatter).
After that we were all slowing down. Thomas wanted to ride the Loch Ness Monster, so Tracy took him on it and then I took him for a second ride since he'd enjoyed the first so much. It says something about how scary the Mach Tower is that Loch Ness seems pretty low key these days. Then he and Tracy took a final plunge on Escape from Pompeii while Geogia and I watched.
Today: Back to Busch Gardens for one last time so Georgia can ride a kiddie coaster in Seasame Street Land and we find out if the old log flume ride is still around.
