Insomnia decided to kick in again with a vengeance. Woke up at 2 am and couldn't get back to sleep. Naturally this is the day I'm going to a job fair at PG County libraries, where I know there are at least two positions offered that I'm qualified for. Also, we're getting our floors installed (again), and I'm just dreading what's going to go wrong THIS time.
I want the day to be over...

Date: 2006-11-17 12:01 pm (UTC)I'll keep my fingers crossed for your success - both for a job, and for finally finishing that floors installation. If it were summer, I would have tried keeping my toes crossed too. ;)
I have probably missed out, but what happened with Barnes & Noble? (Although I must admit, if I had the choice, I'd probably prefer working at a library to working in a bookstore. A bit... calmer.)

Date: 2006-11-17 05:58 pm (UTC)The B&N job never came through. One of my references never called them back, and I decided to not pursue it. I'm getting almost as much via unemployment insurance as I would be working for them, so I'm trying to shoot for a better job that I'd enjoy more. And believe me, "Librarian" would be a dream job for me.
(Waits patiently for current librarians to fall over laughing at that statement.)
