In which Dad finally makes his Intelligence roll

Over the past few days Georgia has taken to pulling her t-shirt over her head when we get home while she's watching Disney's Robin Hood, leaving the collar stuck around the top of her head like a headband and the rest hanging down the back.

Today I finally realized what she was doing. She's pretending to be Maid Marian. :)

Woo! And the next generation of furry geeks grows.

Is she at the "I must watch the movie over and over again in the same day" stage? I only ever babysat for pay once. And the kid was at that stage.

• Arrived at house, parents point to room where Lady and the Tramp is playing, kid entranced.


• Movie over we engage in ten minutes of pretend cooking followed by ten minutes of tea party.


• We've got movie sign!


• Movie over we have a short break for snackage.


• "I want to watch Lady and the Tramp." "But you just watched that twice, how about this tape?" "Lady and the Tramp!" "How ab-" "Lady and the Tramp! Lady and the Tramp!" "okay"


• Immediately upon finishing the movie the tape is rewound and the play button pressed again.


Fortunately for my sanity the parents arrived home again soon after. I actually kind of liked Lady and the Tramp. The first time, even the second time... Don't think I've ever been inclined to watch it again after that.

One of mine learned every word and every scene in Charlotte's web and you described her watching habits perfectly. "and now, templeton's family is following him. Look, count the LITTLE rats. And templeton said" etc. When my parents asked what they should give her for christmas, we said "a different video!!!"
