I guess "Rated G" was a very loose definition in the 80's

Lessee, we got:

1. Drinking
2. Smoking
3. Drug use (however much an evil villain plot)
4. And, oh yeah, the closet thing you can have to a strip show without any actual stripping.

What do you mean "without any actual stripping"? She didn't get down to the full monty, but ripping off her demure dress for a show girl teddy and promising to "take off all my clothes" qualifies.

IIRC the actual line was "Take off all my blues". Which given that all she was wearing was blue doesn't make much of a difference...

"G" - yeah, like Bugs and Elmer in drag and getting married was "G"

G-hosaphat! Lovely, sophisticated, bawdy, funny as all hell but "G rated" - not so much

Heck, back then G-rated was the Bad News Bears (not a one even in their teens, much less drinking age) popping beers to celebrate their non-victory at the end of the movie.
