For the first fifteen minutes after the Supreme Court released its decision on the Affordable Healthcare Act, both CNN and FOX reported that it had been struck down, when actually it had been upheld. Here's how it happened.

Personally I think it's all very silly. It's not like a chemical weapon had been dispersed and 3 minutes of reporting time would make the difference between 10 deaths or 10,000.

It's a ruling that will impact people a little bit down the road. As someone with a pre-existing condition and expensive medications, it IS a decision I'm interested, certainly. But knowing about it at 10:06 vs, say, 8pm that night? Really not changing anything about my existence or the existence of anyone else, I don't think.

News is a confusing beast. -_-
