While the Avengers was, in fact, a nigh perfect movie, I do have two small notes to make.

1. Judging from the ConRail train seen at the beginning of Natasha's introduction, the Russian Mafia seems to have made some disturbing inroads into western Pennsylvania.

2. Did anyone else besides TV Tropes notice that if a plane launched off the Helicarrier's upper angled deck, it would get sucked straight into a gigantic jet turbine?

I've not seen the Avengers, but looking up the details of this Helicarrier, that would indeed be a hair raising take-off for any pilot. I guess they'd have to use the other end to be safe :D

I was wondering how Steve and Bruce avoided getting sucked in when it launched, myself. And why, if they've got an energy source that could drive the HeliCarrier, they even needed the Tesseract.
